"English Folk Tunes for Descant Recorder" ist eine Sammlung von 62 Bearbeitungen traditioneller Weisen für Sopranblockflöte, darunter stilistisch unterschiedliche Stücke wie Balladen, Hornpipes, Jigs und mehr. Der erfahrene Blockflötenspieler Peter Bowman, Co-Autor u. a. der Reihen "Baroque Recorder Anthology" und "Fun and Games with the Recorder", liefert Hinweise zu allen enthaltenen Stilen sowie zu einzelnen Stücken. Dem Band liegt eine CD mit Aufnahmen aller Melodien bei, die von Kathryn Bennetts eingespielt wurden. Die deutschen und französischen Übersetzungen aller Texte liegen als PDFs zum Download auf der Website von Schott Music vor. Geeignet für Spieler der Stufen 3-8.
